Revlon Colourburst Lip Butters!

Hi everyone!
So today I'm going to talk to you about the Revlon colourburst lip butter, now i know people have probably talked about these alot all ready but i thought, better late than never, right? So I actually brought these of boots the date they came out on the website, and they were doing 2 for £10, so I grabbed a bargain and got 4. I really wanted a nude-pink, everyday neutral, bright pink, and fierce red. The first one was...

080 Strawberry Shortcake:
Now i got this one because the name was so cute and matched the colour perfectly i think, but i also wanted to get a really soft strawberry nude colour, and i absolutely love it! It has the tinniest silver/white shimmer in, but it is not very noticeable.

050 Berry Smoothie:

This is a really soft, pink berry colour, which looks very natural and toned down on your lips. This is a perfect day to day lip colour, because its not bright, but gives you a nice wash of colour on your lips. It also has a little bit of shimmer in, but you cant really notice it.

075 Lollipop:

This is a very bright fusia pink! I absolutely love this one, it stands out and is very bold. This one is alot more pigmented, and is a blue toned hot pink, with shimmer in.

035 Candy Apple:

Yet again all these names match the color perfectly, and i would describe it as an apple red. Not a 100% true red, abit more on the coral, or orange red side. Like lollipop, this is alot more pigmented and a bold red, this does not have any shimmer in it, and i love it!

Overall:
The Revlon lip butters have an amazing butter like consistency(funny that) and glide on your lips. It leaves them very hydrated and moisturised, so you don't need a gloss because they are already very glossy. You can make them very sheer or build them up, and the brighter colors like lollipop and candy apple actually stain your lips, so even thought they don't last as long as a lips stick, the colour does stay there for abit longer. I totally recommend you try them, they sell them at boots and superdrug for £7.99, also they have lots of more gorgeous colours to check out.

Sorry there wasn't any swatches of them, they was not showing up very good, and looked a completely different colour on the camera than in real life, but you can type the swatch in on google images and look at some there.

So thank you for reading, i hoped you found this helpful, please subscribe for my new post every Wednesday+Saturday, bye!

  1. I seem to be the only person who didn't like these. I bought them in the States before they came to the UK cos I was so excited about them and got Peach Parfait and Berry Smoothie. The Peach Parfait one was soooo sparkly, usually I don't mind sparkle but this was just overbearing! I didn't mind the colour of the Berry Smoothie one but I just hated the consistency of these, I found them very thick and felt like they dragged across my lips. But then again I seem to be the only person who thinks that. On the other hand, I absolutely love the L'Oreal Rouge Caresse, the consistency is lovely, it's much more like a balm and very moisturising. The only downside is they don't have the same colour range as the Revlon and because they're a balm like texture you do have to reapply more often but I don't mind because they're gorgeous.

  3. Thanks so much for the review. I'm really on the fence about buying a lip butter. Have you tried the balm stains? If so which one do you prefer?
